Registration - BS9237Chassis No. - 94884562M.O.T. - ExemptOdometer - tbcChenard-Walcker was among the pioneering French motor manufacturers, and this T11 limousine is a collectable example of how the brand had evolved by the 1920s. This example, which is powered by a later 2.2-litre four-cylinder Land Rover engine with a four-speed gearbox, has been in the UK for the past two decades, and has been carefully used by the vendor as a wedding car throughout this time. They have carried out all recent work, with full evidence, and report it has been used infrequently over the past three years. It is therefore now being sold because of a new house build and subsequent clear-out. Intriguingly, although it is a French import, it retains right-hand drive, as it predates the French driving side swap. It comes with a copy of the original French registration. The vendor adds the Chenard-Walcker comes with the original engine, which is available for the buyer after the auction. Chenard-Walcker was founded by Ernest Chenard and Henri Walcker in 1898, initially to make motor tricycles. As the dawn of motoring gathered pace, the enterprising duo soon expanded into the automobile arena, launching their first true automobile in 1900. The company quickly grew, going public in 1906, and a Parisian taxi supply saw it soon become the night largest French automaker. In a landmark moment, Chenard-Walcker won the very first Le Mans 24 Hours Race in 1923 and, by 1925, it was the fourth-largest French OEM. Sadly, it was a victim of the increasing move away from hand-built cars towards mass production, and went bankrupt in 1936. However, it did continue manufacturing trucks, which were sold through Peugeot dealers, until the 1970s. In summary:· Elegant cream and maroon car from a French pioneer· Used as a wedding car for the past two decades· Right-hand drive and has a copy of the original French registration

to followIn May 1974, Volkswagen presented the first-generation Golf as a modern front-wheel drive, long-range replacement for the Volkswagen Beetle. Later Golf variations included the Golf GTI 'hot hatch' introduced in June 1976, a diesel powered version from September 1976, the Jetta notchback saloon in October 1979 and from the end of 1979 the Golf cabriolet built by Karmann. September 1983 saw the introduction of the second-generation Volkswagen Golf, the Mk. II, that grew slightly in terms of wheelbase, exterior and interior dimensions while retaining, in a more rounded form, the Mk. I's overall look. There was not a Golf Mk. II based cabriolet model, instead, the Mk. I cabriolet was continued over the Mk. II's entire production run. Karmann, in Osnabrück, Germany, was until 2009 the largest independent motor vehicle manufacturing company in Germany. For more than a century, they have undertaken various roles, from design to production and assembly of components for various automobile manufacturers including Chrysler, Porsche and the Volkswagen Group. This Volkswagen was originally registered on 28th September 1989. In 2015 it was registered with HPI as an insurance loss, however it appears to have been repaired to a good standard. In 2021 the cambelt was changed, with new shock absorbers also fitted along with four new tyres. This is a great car to experience open top motoring at low expense. These cars are incredibly reliable and robust; this example comes with a V5, a history folder and a current MoT valid until 22nd August 2024. Offered for sale without reserve. Consigned by Stewart Banks.Guide £5,000-£6,500 PURCHASED BY THE VENDOR FOR HIS DAUGHTERTHIS CAR HAS HAD LOTS OF MONEY SPENT ON IT INCLUDING NEW CAMBELT, TYRES AND SHOCK ABSORBERS.A GREAT FUN CAR FOR A MINIMAL OUTLAY.

AMG, which is now the official performance division of Mercedes-Benz, has a long history of producing high-performance derivatives of Mercedes' standard production vehicles. With the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in 2010, the Affalterbach-based firm took a significant step forward. First seen at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and acknowledged as a tribute to the legendary 300 SL 'Gullwing' coupé of the 1950s – arguably the world's first supercar – the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was notable as the first car to be designed in-house by AMG. A collectors' item from the day it was announced, the newcomer featured 'Gullwing' doors like its illustrious predecessor and succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at the top of the German manufacturer's range. Styled by Mercedes-Benz's Mark Fetherston, the SLS AMG received numerous prestigious design awards, and is the only automobile ever to have won the (gold) Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. Boasting a chassis/body of mainly aluminium construction, the SLS (Sport Licht Super) was powered by a 6.2 litre V8 engine producing 563bhp initially - the most powerful normally aspirated production car engine of its day - while the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission was similarly state-of-the-art. A rear wing, extendable at high speeds, kept the SLS stable at its near-200mph maximum, while its low weight (3,573lbs) helped the car lap the Mercedes-Benz test track quicker than its SLR McLaren predecessor. Not surprisingly, given its pedigree, the SLS AMG proved very popular with racing drivers, Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton among them, while the list of celebrity owners includes Eddie Murphy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Pacino, Roger Federer, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Hanks. Several limited edition versions were introduced, including a GT3 racer, leading up to the SLS AMG GT Final Edition of 2014. Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers has said that there are no plans for a successor, so for the time being the SLS AMG remains the ultimate expression of the noble 'Gullwing' tradition. This stunning example presented in Fire Opal Red with Black Designo Exclusive Diamond pattern leather and carbon fibre bonnet as per every SLS Final Edition has covered a mere 4,500 miles from new. Originally registered 19th June 2014, this example was owned for several years by the first owner before being sold by Romans International to its second owner who kept it for a year before Romans were again commissioned to sell it to our vendor in 2023. Limited to only 350 models worldwide, this is the last ever version of the iconic Gullwing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The Final Edition is based on the SLS AMG GT, the later version which has a 20bhp power boost over the standard SLS and features a remapped double clutch seven-speed gearbox with upgraded suspension improving the car's performance and handling considerably. Final Editions such as this have some unique touches to make them it that extra bit special including a carbon fibre bonnet with a central air outlet, carbon fibre splitter on the front apron, a fixed carbon fibre rear wing from the SLS Black Series plus a set of forged light alloys and finally a diamond patterned exclusive leather interior. Of the 350 SLS Final Editions made worldwide which is a combination of both coupés and roadsters, it is believed only six were UK supplied Gullwing coupés with this example being one them and one of the rarest cars you'll ever find on the UK market. We believe the SLS to be a modern day classic which will be one of the most remembered and desirable Mercedes in years to come, a great investment opportunity as proven by the 300 SL Gullwing that the SLS was based on. Last serviced at 4,400 miles in December of 2023, this car boasts a main dealer service history and the car has also recently been treated to PPF on the front and carbon interior. With one of the last 6.2 litre naturally-aspirated V8 engines Mercedes will ever make it is of no surprise that we are seeing many collectors buying up the best examples, with the AMG Black SLS now fetching in excess of £700,000 and SLR’s values increasing year on year. Keeping an eye on its future value is certainly worthwhile but meanwhile own one of the design icons of the modern era harking back to the design icon of the 50’s.. Established as a buggy company before the Civil War, Studebaker entered the automotive business in 1904, building bodies for chassis supplied by Garford of Elyria, Ohio. By 1913, the company was building its own cars, beginning a tradition of well-built automobiles from South Bend, Indiana, that would continue for the next 51 years. By the time Studebaker moved to Canada in 1964, it was the country’s oldest automobile manufacturer and among the longest surviving car manufacturers in the world. The Light Six was in production for seven years, with modern bodywork and styling making this a highly desirable vehicle to own. More than 200,000 were manufactured by Studebaker. This interesting Studebaker was stripped down to the bare chassis by a father and son. It was then fully rebuilt to a very good standard using either new or remanufactured parts. At the same time, a Morris Minor 1000 A-series engine was fitted together with an alternator. This modification means this Studebaker is very reliable and fun to drive. She has been wrapped in blue as the car was required for some film work; underneath the wrapping the colour is white. The blue wrap can easily be removed and the car could be a great addition to a wedding car company, particularly in view of the engine modification. This great looking American classic is UK registered, tax exempt and ready to enjoy immediately. Consigned by Stewart Banks.

The Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size SUV from Chevrolet and the name started in 1934 for the 1935 U.S. model year, making it the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons. It now comes with three engine options: a 5.3 litre V8, 6.2 litre V8 or a 3.0 litre Inline-6 turbo diesel. The GMT400-based Suburban’s were introduced in December 1991 for the 1992 model year. The similar pick-up truck models had switched to the newer platforms in the 1988 model year. Both two wheel and four-wheel drive models, designated ‘C’ and ‘K’, were offered, as well as half ton and three quarter ton (‘1500’ and ‘2500’) models. Trim options included a base-level version, the LS, and the LT. Interior seating arrangements allowed for either bucket or bench seating in the first row and optional third row bench. The vehicle could be configured from two to nine passenger seating. Transmissions included the 4L60 four-speed automatic in the 1500 series, and the heavier duty 4L80 four-speed automatic in the 2500.This Chevrolet has been owned in the same family from new and presents in delightful condition. The black coachwork is in very good order as is the interior. As well as being extremely well-appointed vehicles there is ample room for passengers in these supremely comfortable vehicles. The 5.3 litre V8 engine, mated to an automatic transmission offers smoothness and performance if need. This low mileage example is being sold with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 14th August 2024. Offered at a very sensible reserve these are fabulous vehicles and are extremely practical family SUV’s with substantial interior space for people and luggage, this must be one of the finest available of this marque. 1930;s Motor Sport Sir Malcolm Campbell, Period photograph of Sir Malcolm Cambell sitting in a racecar, 1930's mounted on period album leaf, image 18cm x 13cm, text below reads der Weltrekordhalter - the world record holder Sir Malcolm Campbell: A Speed Pioneer Major Sir Malcolm Campbell MBE, will be forever remembered for his daring exploits on land and water. Born on March 11, 1885, Campbell's legacy extends far beyond his lifetime, shaping the very fabric of speed records and inspiring generations of enthusiasts worldwide. Famously associated with the iconic Blue Bird vehicles, Campbell's quest for speed was relentless. His achievements were not only personal triumphs but also a testament to the spirit of human ingenuity and perseverance. In 1924, Campbell etched his name in the record books by breaking the land speed record for the first time. Roaring across Pendine Sands near Carmarthen Bay in a 350HP V12 Sunbeam, he reached an astonishing 146.16 mph (235.22 km/h). Today, the very car he piloted proudly sits on display at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, a testament to his pioneering spirit. But Campbell's thirst for speed was insatiable. Between 1924 and 1935, he shattered nine land speed records, leaving a trail of dust and awe in his wake. Three of these triumphs were achieved at Pendine Sands, while five were conquered at Daytona Beach, each victory pushing the boundaries of what was deemed possible. In 1925, Campbell further solidified his reputation by setting a new lap record of 100 mph (160.93 km/h) at Brooklands, showcasing his versatility and mastery behind the wheel of a streamlined Chrysler Six. However, it was on February 4, 1927, that Campbell reached the zenith of his career. At Pendine Sands, he obliterated previous records, achieving speeds of 174.883 mph (281.447 km/h) in the Napier-Campbell Blue Bird, setting both the Flying Kilometre and Flying Mile records. Yet, perhaps his crowning achievement came on September 3, 1935, at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Here, Campbell made history by becoming the first person to drive an automobile over 300 mph, averaging a mind-boggling 301.337 mph (484.955 km/h) in two passes. His feat remains a testament to human courage and technological innovation. Tragically, Campbell's remarkable journey came to an end in 1948, when he succumbed to a series of strokes in Reigate, Surrey, at the age of 63. His passing marked the end of an era, yet his legacy endures as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come.
