An interesting collection of letters dated 1814-32, addressed to members of the Campbell family - a Captain Campbell of Skipness House, Tarbert Argyllshire; and Mrs Robert Campbell of Stockbridge, Edinburgh - including one with a range of Indian stamps, sent from Bangalore, 1st June 1832, in which Walter Campbell shares news of his life, apparently with the military, remarking on his limited hopes of promotion, big game hunting - "I have had another letter from George, since I last wrote, containing a list of the game he has killed since I left and must give you a copy of it, that you may have some idea of Indian Sport. Here it is: 11 Tiger killed, 5 wounded and lost, 1 Panther, 15 Bears, 14 Wild Hog (speared), 1 Wolf (speared), 1 Bison, 3 Elk, 7 Deer, 21 Antelopes, 2 Gazelle, 2 Bustard and 300 head of small game - not so bad for one person, is it?" - on characters he has met - "Captain Bell, who is, I think a beast, a regular bilious, beer-drinking, growling "Old Indian", he has written to some of his friends here to say that he finds England the most villainous Country he ever was in" and on the romantic misfortune of someone named Jack, possibly a younger brother - "He is much too young to marry and besides, I do not like the young L____ - I always had an insconsionable aversion to Glasgow merchants", with a transcription by the vendor Condition Report:Available upon request

Lord Sebastian Coe signed limited edition print with signing photo Sebastian Coe is one of the great names of British sport with eight world records and two Olympic gold medals during his career. Coe sensationally broke three world records in 1979 in just 41 days: the 800m and mile in Oslo and the 1500m in Zurich. This meant Coe was the first man in more than 50 years to set world records at both 800m and 1500m. The following July Coe added the 1000m record to his list in Oslo, making him the holder, for a short time, of four world records simultaneously. In 1981 Coe broke records again at 800m (Florence) 1000m (Oslo) and the mile (Zurich and Brussels) bringing his total to eight. His 800m world record of 1:41:73, set in Florence in June1981, remained unbroken until 1997. At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles Coe set an Olympic record at 1500m. He has now successfully led the bid to bring the Olympics to London in 2012. This stunning print shows Coe jubilant in crossing the line to win the Olympic gold medal in 1984. He has personally signed each print and you will receive a separate photo of the signing (as shown in the inset image). Morne Du Plessis limited edition signed print with signing photo Morne du Plessis was one of South Africa's greatest rugby players and leaders. He followed in his father's footsteps and is the only father-son combination in Springbok history to captain the team. Under his leadership South Africa won 13 matches and lost only twice. His contribution to Springbok rugby was not over, and in 1995 he played an important role in what was perhaps South Africa's biggest ever triumph in the sport. Du Plessis managed the Springbok team in the World Cup held in South Africa. This stunning print shows him in his typical attacking form. He has personally signed each print and you will receive a photo of the signing (as shown in inset image).
