This would probably clean off with ease. The bluing has largely worn off the barrel but traces remain, there are some light scratches to the metal finish. The rear sight is a modern replacement. The stock has been lightly sanded and refinished at some point in the gun’s history as the stamped markings are lighter than they should be. The pistol grip has to fault lines to underside which follow the grain line, the woodwork appears stable in this area and this may just be cosmetic. There is a chip to the corner of the forend where it meets the action. There are quite a few scratches and dents from use. The varnish to the woodwork shows signs of wear.

The butt stock has some shakes (shrinkage splits present from when the wood was worked) There is a small dented or damaged area to the tip of the comb of the stock which could look like a split from the images but it is not. The wood stock is free from breaks or repairs, there are some dents and marks. The bayonet is in a much more worn condition with overall light pitting and some corrosion.
