247. 1956 BSA B31 350cc EX HOME OFFICE MOTORBIKE Registration - SXF 28 Engine No - BB31 26041 Frame No - EB31 5709 Introduced in 1945 it was BSA’s first bike post war and was continually developed throughout its production life until it was replaced by the B40 Unit single in 1959. It was a fast, strong, reliable and economical motorcycle that not only sold well to the general public but also within many government departments. Condition - first registered in October 1956, this bike appears to be a very original, nicely patinated motorcycle. Still wearing its correct Home Office green colour, it also comes with its original registration number. Unfortunately, due to knee surgery, the owner has not been able to ride the bike for the last 12 months prior to which it was used regularly and is fairly described, by the owner, as being in average, used condition that was, when last used, riding nicely with everything working as it should. It has not been used or started for some time, but the engine turns over freely.
