(The following details derive from family tradition): The recipient (son of John Alexander Geary, D.S.O.) was an apprentice to Riley in Coventry before it merged with Morris in the late 1930s. He was captured by the Japanese in Burma and worked on a railway as a P.O.W.

Wills, a prisoner of war who as American defector from the Korean War was captured to stay in a communist Chinese-run internment camp in North Korea for two years then immediately moved to China where he lived for twelve years before finally moving to Hong Kong with his family. Condition ReportThe ring is in very good condition for its age, with minor wear to the central gemstone and light scratches to the mount. The amethyst are well matched and saturated.
