There’s a chip to the wood on the pommel area near the securing nut, whihc is area prone to this kind of fault. The steel parts have darkened with age, and there is pitting to the guard, and around the ricasso area. The original brass throat on the scabbard is missing, but the brass chape is present, with some dents from service use. Some tiny clips to the blade edge, plus evidence of previous sharpening.
