This large original acrylic on canvas is by Romantic-Impressionist American artist Nava Lundy who depicts the historic Boathouse Row on the Schuylkill River, Pennsylvania. Lundy focuses on a group of 19th-century houses with direct access to the river and on wooden decks that she abstracts. She applied the paint with a palette knife and with large brushstrokes to retain the essence of forms and used gorgeous maroons, deep reds and browns, and ranges of greens and blues placed adjacent brilliant whites and purple.
