Two Victorian Silver Christening-Mugs, One by William Hutton and Sons, Birmingham, 1900, Probably Designed by Kate Harris and One Maker's Mark WH, London, 1871, the first mug tapering and chased with flowers and engraved with initials, 9cm high, the second mug tapering and on spreading foot, 11cm high, total weight 7oz 11dwt, 236gr (2)Kate Harris worked as designer for the silversmiths William Hutton and Sons. Her designs were popular to such an extent that her work was described by the Studio journal as 'gracefully conceived and executed'.The first mug marked rim rim. The second mug marked near handle. There is some wear to the marks on each but in general the marks are clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The is some burising to the stem of the second example and some minor bruising elsewhere.

Teapot 28cm across.General overall condition very good, some minor surface wear, scratching and tiny dents, no evidence of any damge or repair, coffee pot does not appear to have been used.
