A Franco-Flemish tapestry fragment, Late 16th / early 17th century, Depicting the Old Testament story of Tobias and the Archangel Raphael leaving Tobit and Anna, possibly cut and re-joined with verdure end panels, within a bead-and-reel border, later mounted, 51 x 151.5cm   Condition Report: Note: This scene is from the Old Testament story of the Archangel Raphael and Tobias from the Book of Tobit. After his father Tobit goes blind and the family are running out of money, Tobias is sent to Media in Persia to collect money Tobias had lent to a friend twenty years previously. When Tobias can’t find anyone to accompany him on the journey, the Archangel Raphael appears in disguise and agrees to guide him. They set out on their journey with Tobias’ dog Hera, and while crossing a river Tobias kills a fish and is instructed by the angel to keep its eyes and entrails in a metal box. On arrival in Media, he meets and weds Sara, who is being plagued by a demon who has vowed to kill any man she marries. By burning the entrails of the fish, he destroys the demon and on their return to his parents and using the crushing the eyes into an ointment and applies them to Tobit's eyes, curing this blindness. Upon opening his eyes, Tobit realises that his son's travelling companion was in fact an angel. This panel depicts the scene when Raphael and Tobias are leaving his parent’s house for their journey to Media, with Tobit and a tearful Anna seeing them off and the dog Hera standing by their feet.

Lot 252

**Please note for clarity the original exhaust and tyres will be available after the sale, free of charge, to be collected from the vendor. The custom car cover and dash cover will be with the car.The ‘factory underseal’ is incorrect and is actually wax oil that our vendor removed and cleaned from the underside and engine bay, with some parts still visible in the door shuts. The car is totally unrestored and for every MOT the underside was sprayed with ACF50 to protect and preserve the immaculate condition of the car.The spare wheel is brand new, and Ford First Aid Kit, supplementary workshop manual, original owner’s guide wallet from Bristol Street Motor, original boxed fog lamps, tax disc holder and original car mats will be included.** Arguably the finest condition RS500 we have brought to market. #433 presents in wonderfully original condition with an incredibly low warranted mileage of just 12,802. On offer from 21 years of cherished ownership with multiple concours wins under its belt. If the RS Cosworth was an homologation car, the RS500 was an evolution special. Once Ford had built the requisite 5,000 RS Cosworths, 'Group A' rules allowed an upgraded 'evolution' model to be launched. This could carry changes focused on improving its racing potential, provided Ford sold 10% of the original number as road cars, hence the 500, with the vast majority (392) being finished in Black, 56 in Diamond White and 52 in Moonstone Blue. All RS500s had modified bodywork and the cachet of being hand-assembled. Indeed, during the model's 30th Anniversary year in 2017, the RS500 was named the 'Ultimate Cosworth' by one of the UK's biggest one-make car shows. The car presented here is the 1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth, #433, finished in Diamond White and despatched from Tickfords on 6th August 1987 to Bristol Street Motors of Cheltenham. It was immediately registered by its first keeper as E100 GFH, before becoming the totally appropriate E433 COS during our vendor’s ownership. The condition of the car is truly remarkable. Iconic Auctioneers (formerly Silverstone Auctions) has been fortunate enough to bring over 30 RS500s to market, and this is undeniably one of, if not the, best of all. The paintwork is immaculate, with no evidence of having been touched over the years, appearing to be all original. The interior of the car truly sets it apart from the rest, having benefited from living in a temperature-controlled garage, under a custom-made RS500 car cover, with custom-made covers protecting the dashboard, gear knob and steering wheel, a wonderful example of just how cherished this ‘pride and joy’ car is. Mechanically it has never been messed with, retaining all its original parts, except for the new/old stock original specification exhaust, with the original item accompanying the car at the sale.In 2007, our vendor set his mind on sourcing and buying the best RS500 he could find to add to his Collection, and that is exactly what he achieved here. Following months of research, viewings and knowing the right people, he was able to find the car in question, #433, and purchased it for what, at the time, was the highest ever price paid for an RS500. Shortly after taking delivery in 2007, he set about removing as much of the factory underseal as possible in order to showcase the condition of the car’s underside being as strong as the topside. The well presented history file makes for confidence-inspiring reading and displays the same amount of attention to detail as the rest of the car. The original book packs are present in their original wallets, including the main stamped service book up to 9,167 miles, a large quantity of invoices for parts and maintenance and almost every single MOT from new in chronological order, confirming the car’s low indicated mileage. Although only used very lightly, the RS has been regularly serviced, maintained and detailed during our marque-expert vendor’s ownership, primarily undertaken by him, including two cam belt changes. His ‘perfectionist’ attention to originality can be illustrated by the fact that his cars are always stored on padded mats to ensure that the tyres never become squared-off due to lack of movement. The original set of tyres will accompany the car at the sale, alongside the original exhaust. This uncompromising approach might explain why this gleaming white RS500 may well be the best you have ever seen, and truly needs to be seen in the metal to be fully appreciated.#433 has been lovingly taken to shows and events where it has won a borderline embarrassing amount of awards, undoubtedly as a result of its incredible condition and microscopic attention to every detail. We understand that #433 drives as perfectly as you’d imagine, with a pure, unspoilt and original feel.Well known and much respected within the Owners Club, just 12,805 miles indicated, recently serviced with a fresh MOT and documented long term meticulous care from a dedicated owner all suggest that this is a remarkable opportunity and we invite and encourage your viewing of this best of breed example of a model that is considered the 'high-water mark' in Ford’s enviable back-catalogue.SpecificationMake: FORDModel: SIERRA RS500 COSWORTHYear: 1987Chassis Number: WF0EXXGBBEGG38799Registration Number: E433 COSTransmission: ManualEngine Number: GG38799Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 12802 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images

Lot 237

On offer from single-family ownership, this exceptionally original XJ-S V12 Convertible has covered a mere 11,560 miles from new. The XJ-S Convertible, which first appeared in 1988 at a price of £36,000, was considerably more than merely a coupé with the roof removed. The earlier ''T'-top' Cabriolet paved the way as the first open Jaguar since the departure of the E-Type in 1975, but this was to be the first full convertible and a strengthened sub-frame was employed in order to alleviate scuttle shake. It looked superb and elegant with the hood erect or folded and finally met the demands of the highly valued North American market. Retaining the roomy cockpit space of the coupé, the new convertible boasted a useful shelf for extra luggage and all the expected Jaguar refinements as standard. The XJ-S' superb 5.3-litre V12 developed some 295bhp in later fuel-injected form and even when allied to an automatic transmission, the car was capable of a genuine 150mph and made for a fine open-top 'Grand Touring' car. This wonderful time warp example was originally supplied to a local gentleman by Jaguar Daimler dealer, Hartwell’s of Oxford, in August of 1989 finished in Signal Red with a Magnolia leather interior. Remarkably, it has remained with this family up until now and currently presents in exceptionally original condition thanks to their care storing the car respectfully and carefully in comfortable garaging. It’s supplied with a comprehensive history file telling the story of its life, including the original service book with eight stamps from 971 miles to 9,686 miles (main dealer servicing continued as seen on invoices on file, 2014 at 10,098 miles, 2015 at 10,259 miles, 2017 at 10,525 miles, 2022 at 10,977 miles), maintenance and service invoices, the Jaguar Guarantee, insurance certificates, the original purchase invoice and its MOT history, all serving to confirm the indicated mileage of just under 11,600.The meticulous accumulation of history with this car truly illustrates the conscientious manner in which it has been cherished. The next owner can learn and enjoy the car via its original Jaguar-supplied Stereo Radio owner's guide cassette tape, before storing this delightful XJ-S away under its original softshell indoor car cover. Rare with this low ownership and low mileage, this is a fine example of an appreciating Classic Jaguar. N.B. Please note the cherished registration number A909 RW in our photographs is not included and will be retained by the vendor.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: XJS Year: 1989 Chassis Number: SAJJNADW3DB158528 Registration Number: G481 AFW Transmission: Auto Engine Number: 8S065618SA Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 11560 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: MagnoliaClick here for more details and images

Lot 240

In superbly original condition, just 25,000 miles, with full service history and from 32-years ownership.   In 1986, the original Sierra Cosworth was a new kind of performance car - a blue-collar hero able to humble true sports cars. In 1988, Ford introduced the Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth, a more ‘discreet’ version, built using the four-door Sapphire bodyshell, first with the same rear-wheel drive layout as the three-door original, and then later with four-wheel drive; but even with a more restrained exterior, a plush velour interior and an executive four-door shell, the Sapphire was far from dull. The early rear-wheel drive cars had 204bhp from the YBB engine (205 block), a T5 gearbox, 7" x 15" lattice alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, side skirts and Recaro seats. The rear-wheel drive cars could hit 60mph in 6.1 seconds. Despite the extra power and potential for greater traction, the later 4x4 Sapphire was slower to 60mph, reaching the speed in 6.6 secs. Approximately 13,140 2WD Sapphire examples were produced during 1988-1989; all were assembled in Ghenk, Belgium, with UK-built Ford-Cosworth engines. The car presented here is a 1989 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth (2WD) and is in super original, unmolested condition. First registered on 18th August 1989, this superb example has covered just over 25,000 miles within the same family since it was just two years old. Due to the owner's poor health, this Sapphire remained unused and garaged for over 20 years. A combination of diligent ownership, minimal use (due to circumstance) and sheer preservation, now means this ‘Fast Ford’ is in collector-quality condition. We are informed that this exceptional car still retains its original factory-fitted panels, factory-etched glass and its original paint throughout. The interior is described as showing virtually no wear on the switchgear or surfaces. Likewise, all the dials and switchgear are said to function correctly, there are no cracks or UV damage to the dashboard and the original Recaro seats remain in beautiful condition. The boot contains its original Dunlop Sport spare wheel and factory-fitted jack whilst the parcel shelf is straight and free from any aftermarket speaker holes. The original electronic sound system, ECU2 (including power amplifier) are also still in situ, whilst the factory-fitted 15" wheels are shod with period Pirelli P600 tyres. The brakes have been fully recommissioned, benefiting from new rear calipers, brake fluid and discs/pads.The accompanying service history file includes the original Ford service book, owner’s handbook, radio operation manual, numerous invoices, two Ford keys, old tax discs and MOT history certificates. If you are looking for an unmolested, original RS Cosworth, this is probably one of the worthiest candidates currently available. The lighter and rarer version of the Sapphire, this example is one for the Ford connoisseur and is offered at an attractive price guide, offering the new owner membership of the exclusive club of RS ownership.Specification Make: FORD Model: SIERRA SAPPHIRE RS COSWORTH 2WD Year: 1989 Chassis Number: WF0FXXGBBFJS34294 Registration Number: G399 MGH Transmission: Manual Engine Number: JS34294 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 25115 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

GW, 2333. Goff, A-958. Sander I 580. Essling I 2,2 1163.First printed edition of Aristophanes, comprising Plutus, Nebulae, Ranae, Equites, Acharnes, Vespae, Pax and Contionantes in the recension of the fourteenth-century Byzantine scholar Demetrios Triklinios, and one of the most important productions of the Aldine Press. Aldus was the first to found his career on the publication of Greek texts, printing more of the editiones principes of the major Greek classics than any other printer. The editor was the Greek humanist Marcus Musurus who also wrote the preface on the reasons for studying Greek and the stylistic beauty of Aristophanes. Aldus' dedication to Daniele Clario, teacher of classical languages in Ragusa, commends the plays of Aristophanes as necessary for pupils to immerse themselves in pure Greek, in the way that Terence serves for Latin. One of the greatest English book and manuscript collectors, Sir Thomas Philipps began collecting while still at Rugby School and continued at Oxford. According to A. N. L. Munby he acquired about 40,000 printed books and 60,000 manuscripts, arguably the largest collection created by a single individual.

Hain-Copinger, 6659.A fine, crisp copy of a rare Aldine incunable edited by Marcus Musurus. From 1493, Musurus was associated with Aldus Manutius and belonged to the Aldine Academy of Hellenists, a society founded by Manutius and other learned men for the promotion of Greek studies. Many of the Aldine classics were published under Musurus’ supervision, and he is credited with the first editions of the scholia of Aristophanes (1498), Athenaeus (1514), Hesychius of Alexandria (1514) and Pausanias (1516). Musuros’ handwriting reportedly formed the model of Aldus’ Greek type. Musurus here brings together 26 Greek authors including letters by Plato and the first printing of any of his writings in the original Greek as well Isocrates, Aeschines, Synesius, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, St. Basil, Phalaridis Tyranni, Bruti Romani, Apollonius of Tyana, and Julian Apostate. The Aldine Epistolae Graecae ‘was not replaced by an equally useful collection until 1873, the date of R. Hercher’s Epistolographi graeci’ (Wilson, Byzantium to Italy, p.150).The book is printed in Aldus’s second and better Greek type (2:114), designed by Francesco Griffo da Bologna. Letter-writing was an art and study allied to rhetoric which formed part of a humanistic education, and compendia of letters circulated as model precedents. The letters published in this volume however are of interest far beyond mere examples of letter-writing. An example is Plato’s seventh letter, the longest and most important. It is addressed to the associates and companions of Dion, most likely after his assassination in 353 BCE, in the form of an open letter, and contains a defence of Plato’s political activities in Syracuse as well as a long digression concerning the nature of philosophy, the theory of the forms, and the problems inherent to teaching. Toward the end of the letter he gives an explanation of the perfect circle as an existing, unchanging, and eternal form, and explains how any reproduction of a circle is impossible. He suggests that the form of a perfect circle cannot even be discussed, because language and definition are inadequate. This important edition was hightly influential; Copernicus taught himself Greek using this work with the help of a Greek-Latin dictionary; the manuscript of his De Revolutionibus contains a suppressed passage from Lysis’s letter to Hipparchus found in this collection. Introducing the text of the letter Copernicus mentions 'Philolaus believed in the earth’s motion.. (and) Aristarchus of Samos too held the same view'.

Greville, Robert Kaye, Scottish Cryptogamic Flora, or Coloured Figures and Descriptions of Cryptogamic Plants, Greville, Robert Kaye, Scottish Cryptogamic Flora, or Coloured Figures and Descriptions of Cryptogamic Plants belonging chiefly to the Order Fungi; and Intended to Serve as a Continuation of English Botany, Printed for Maclachlan & Stewart, Edinburgh; and Baldwin, Cradock & Joy, London, 1823, 6Vol. in 3 books, late 19th century(?) half calf binding in green with gilt lettering to spine, with 360 hand-coloured plates, Robert Kaye Greville, a prominent figure in 19th-century botany, left an indelible mark on the scientific world with his groundbreaking work in cryptogamic flora. Born in Bishop Auckland, Durham, Greville's early years were shaped by his parents, Dorothy and Robert Greville, the latter being the rector of the parish church in Edlaston, Derbyshire. His childhood fascination with natural history evolved into a lifelong commitment, although his path initially led him to the study of medicine. However, realizing that his passion for botany outweighed the pursuit of a medical career, Greville made a bold decision to abandon four years of medical education in London and Edinburgh, focusing instead on his true calling. In 1816, Greville married Charlotte Eden, the niece of William Eden, 1st Baron Auckland. Greville's dedication to botany became more apparent in 1823 when he embarked on the ambitious project of illustrating and publishing the "Scottish Cryptogamic Flora." This monumental work was released in monthly parts and aimed to complement the catalog of flora found in Smith and Sowerby's "English Botany." Greville meticulously drew each specimen himself, accompanied by detailed text, creating a comprehensive depiction of the Scottish cryptogamic flora during the early 19th century. The following year, in 1824, Greville expanded his botanical contributions with the publication of "Flora Edinensis," a guide to the flora of Edinburgh. His dedication and scholarly contributions did not go unnoticed, as evidenced by the University of Glasgow awarding him a doctorate in 1826. Greville's influence extended beyond publications; he delivered numerous lectures in the natural sciences and amassed collections that were later acquired by the University of Edinburgh, preserving his specimens of plants and fungi in the Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Notable among Greville's adventures was a boat trip to the Isle of May in late 1826 or early 1827, accompanied by students William Ainsworth and Charles Darwin. Despite his eminence as a cryptogamist, Greville's contagious laughter at seabirds led him to lie down on the greensward, creating a memorable moment for his companions. In 1828, Greville received a significant honor when Mount Greville in Queensland was named in his honor by fellow botanist Allan Cunningham. This mountain, now part of Moogerah Peaks National Park, stands as a testament to Greville's global impact on botany. Beyond his botanical pursuits, Greville showcased his diverse interests. In 1835, he published piano music for a sacred melody, and in 1839–40, he served as president of the Botanical Society of Edinburgh for the first time. Greville's engagement in political causes, such as abolitionism, capital punishment, Sunday observance, and the temperance movement, reflected his commitment to social issues. In 1840, Greville played a key role as one of the vice-presidents at the World's Anti-Slavery Convention in London, illustrating his dedication to humanitarian causes. His involvement in various learned societies, including the Biological Society and the Royal Society of Edinburgh, showcased his standing as a respected figure in the scientific community. Greville's impact extended internationally, as he held honorary memberships in the Royal Irish Academy and the Howard Society, along with corresponding memberships in natural history societies in Brussels, Paris, Leipzig, and Philadelphia. Notably, he served as the secretary of the Sabbath Alliance and contributed to the compilation of the Church of England's 1838 hymn book. Towards the end of his life, Greville faced financial challenges, prompting him to transition to professional artistry, creating landscape paintings that were exhibited. Despite financial hardships, he remained dedicated to his botanical work. In 1865–66, Greville served as President of the Botanical Society of Edinburgh for the second and final time. He continued to be actively involved in his research until his passing on June 4, 1866, at his home in Murrayfield, Edinburgh. Greville's legacy endures through his contributions to botany, his dedication to social causes, and his impact on the scientific community. His burial in Dean Cemetery in Edinburgh marks the final resting place of a man whose passion for nature and humanity left an everlasting imprint on the world of science and beyond.

Hamilton, Edward, The Flora Homoeopathica, Hamilton, Edward, The Flora Homoeopathica; or Illustrations and Descriptions of the Medicinal Plants Used as Homoeopathic Remidies, 2 Volumes in 1, Printed 1852, half calf with gilt lettering to spine, 66 coloured plates, front board loose from text block, fading to boards, edges worn and bumped, some light foxing to plates and text Edward Hamilton's "Flora Homoeopathica" stands as a testament to the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies, employing a rich blend of meticulous botanical illustrations and in-depth descriptions of 66 plants. From the familiar and benign, such as chamomile and coffee, to the potentially hazardous, including poison ivy and ergot, Hamilton's work delves into the diverse world of medicinal plants used in homeopathy. Each plant is meticulously characterized with botanical details, historical context, means of identification, geographical distribution, and physiological effects in both humans and animals. The work delves further into the parts of the plant utilized and the methods of preparation, providing a comprehensive understanding of their general applications in homeopathy. Hamilton's book extends beyond the botanical realm, offering numerous case studies and clinical observations that purportedly demonstrate the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in treating a variety of physical and mental diseases. Edward Hamilton, a prominent member of the British Homeopathic Society and a Physician to the London Homeopathic Hospital, founded in 1849, lends his authority to this comprehensive guide. In addition to serving as a valuable reference for homeopathic practitioners, Hamilton strives to elevate and legitimize homeopathic practices within both the public and broader medical community. Originating in the late 18th century, homeopathy gained significant popularity in the 19th century as an alternative to conventional Western medicine, often labeled as "allopathy." In contrast to potentially ineffectual or harmful treatments like bloodletting and purging, homeopathy operates on the principle that "like cures like." The author meticulously explains this concept, highlighting the selection of remedies based on their ability to induce symptoms in healthy individuals similar to those presented by patients. A key feature of homeopathic remedies is their harmlessness, achieved through extensive dilution. For instance, even the lethal Atropa Belladonna (Deadly Nightshade) becomes a potent treatment for inflammation when diluted, as discussed in the book. Intriguingly, Hamilton explores unconventional recommendations, such as Henbane for nymphomania, Bitter Cucumber for dysentery, and Cannabis for ailments ranging from tetanus to acne and gonorrhea.

Registration No: W61 RPB Chassis No: YS3DF75C617000288 MOT: March 2025One lady owner from newVery low mileage having covered a warranted 24,500 milesDesirable Turbo SE example with the rare manual gearboxOffered with the original stamped service book showing excellent service historySurely one of, if not the best example extant? When it came to replacing the classic 900, SAAB’s paymasters General Motors were looking for a lightly restyled Vectra. Typically, they didn’t get it. The NG900, later renamed 9-3, so comprehensively departed from its GM underpinnings that little was left. That was good news for buyers, who got a typically innovative and well-engineered car with an ultra-reliable 2-litre turbocharged SAAB engine. Enthusiasts are now returning to these 9-3s for precisely these qualities, with the convertible particularly appealing for its four-seater versatility, with three or five-door hatchbacks or a two-door Convertible having been available. The SE boasts a sportier look with a front chin spoiler, flared rocker panels, a new rear valence, body-coloured mirrors and a sports steering wheel, and with 250bhp, offering 0-60mph in 7.3 seconds and 143mph.Chassis number ‘617000288’ was supplied new by Saab main agents Ian Allan Motors of Virginia Water, Surrey to its first lady owner, who has retained the Saab for its whole life. Finished in Silver paintwork with Grey leather interior upholstery, wooden dash veneers, and a Black electric hood, the Saab also features electric windows, heated seats, a CD radio player, and alloy wheels. A Turbo example in SE specification, ‘W61 RPB’ pleasingly retains its original front and rear dealer number plates, SAAB floor mats, spare wheel, and original jack and warning triangle, and is offered for sale now having covered just c.24,500 warranted miles from new.The Saab is accompanied to sale by the original book pack containing the owner’s manual, dealer map, SAAB security guide, in-car safety leaflet, SAAB assistance, quick reference guide, and the stamped service book, all presented in the SAAB wallet. The stamped service book illustrates an excellent service history with fifteen services plus the PDI, with the majority of those completed by the supplying dealership or SAAB specialists, the most recent of which being completed in January this year (by a well-respected specialist) at 24,501 miles. Also offered with a current V5C document showing zero former keepers, very good MOT history, and a ‘no advisory’ MOT certificate until March 2025.A notably nice example and driving very well for the photography session, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a one-owner and low mileage 9-3 SE Turbo Convertible and is therefore ideal for preservation or as an addition to a private collection. Surely one of, if not the best example extant? For more information, please contact: Paul Cheetham paul.cheetham@handh.co.uk 07538 667452

Registration No: F159 TLX Chassis No: WP0ZZZ92ZJS841537 MOT: October 2024Subject to mechanical overhaul, interior re-fresh and a respray in Gloss Black between 2020-2021Unusual specification including Red interior inserts, factory heated seats and sliding roofExtensive history fileStyled by American Tony Lapine, Porsche's front-engined, water-cooled, V8-powered 2+2 928 was launched at the 1977 Geneva Salon. Not only was it about as mechanically different to the ubiquitous 911 as it could possibly be, but represented the company's first foray into grand touring territory. Nevertheless, it received a rapturous reception from the press and was duly awarded the 1978 Car of the Year Award. Debuting in 1986 for the 1987 model year, the S4 variant featured an updated version of the 5.0-litre V8 producing some 316hp and a larger torque converter on automatic transmission examples along with numerous styling updates to give the car a sleeker appearance. Production of the S4 ended in 1991 along with the GT model to make way for the 5.4-litre GTS which would last until 1995.First registered on 1st September 1988, this lovely Porsche 928 S4 is presented in Gloss Black with a contrasting Red and Black leather interior. ‘F159 TLX’ has an unusual specification with the Red interior, but was also specified with factory heated seats, additional amplifier, back support and electrical sliding roof.In January 2021, the car was sold to a previous owner, who undertook the task of making it ‘perfect’. In late 2020, the car had received extensive works with Simon Ainsworth Engineering, including Gaz suspension, braided brake lines, replacement steering rack bushes, the intake manifold and cam covers re-finished and re-fitted, injector seals, the underside Waxoyled, replacement front discs and pads, the gearbox and diff oil replaced and further fettling. Air conditioning was retrofitted with Climate Components Ltd.In April 2021, the car was subject to replacement carpets (including door panel carpet), the centre console armrest was retrimmed, further interior fettling and then subject to a complete respray in Gloss Black with Alchemy Paint Ltd. The parts used were primarily purchased directly from Porsche, including door seals and window guides. The wheels were then refurbished with Spit & Polish Alloy Wheel Reburbishment Services and after the car was complete, it was sold to the previous owner. ‘F159 TLX’ was sold to the vendor in a deal for one of his many historic race cars in 2023 and it is now offered for sale due to lack of use, having been stored in a professional facility since.Included with the vehicle is a comprehensive history file. Within is the original Porsche book pack, which includes the Porsche 928 S4 Driver’s manual, pocket guide to Porsche ownership, Porsche Approved programme handbook, Porsche service book and the Guarantee and Maintenance booklet which contains 16 stamps; the most recent at 119,619 miles. Also included is a large collection of invoices dating back as far as 1995, a large collection of MOT certificates dating back to 1999, a spare key and the current V5C document which displays 11 former keepers. Registration No: W377 LSL Chassis No: SALLPAMJ3YA444612 MOT: March 2025Just two former keepers with current ownership since 2015Modest mileage of just 70,300 miles from newDesirable Vogue specification with the 4.6-litre unleaded V8 mated to automatic transmissionOffered with the original book pack including stamped service bookTwenty-five years after its triumphant introduction, what's now known as the Range Rover ‘Classic' gave way to the second generation of the model (code name P38A). By then the Rover's original workmanlike persona had been completely transformed - long gone were the hose-down rubber flooring and basic trim, which had been replaced by increasingly deep pile carpets, leather upholstery and wood finishings. The newcomer brought a strengthened chassis and less boxy exterior, while power was now provided by upgraded 4.0-litre and 4.6-litre versions of Rover's ubiquitous all-alloy V8 engine and suspension by an improved version of the company's air system.Manufactured new in 2000, the Vogue specification ‘P38’ offered was supplied new by J. B. W. Smith of Fife, Scotland, being delivered to its first owner on the 28th of June 2000. Finished in Oxford Blue paintwork with a complementary Lightstone leather interior upholstery it has a walnut dashboard and centre console. In Vogue specification, ‘W377 LSL’ has the 4.6-litre unleaded V8 engine mated to automatic transmission and features cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, air-conditioning, Harman Kardon, electric heated and memory front seats, electric windows and mirrors, Range Rover rubber overmats, colour coded wing mirrors, headlamp cleaning system, and sunroof.Offered now having covered a modest mileage of just 70,300 miles from new, the Range Rover has resided with the current registered keeper since 2015 and has had only two former keepers. ‘W377 LSL’ is offered with the original book pack which is presented in its original wallet and contains the owner’s handbook, in-car entertainment guide and the stamped service book which illustrates eleven services across the Range Rovers life. Offered with a no advisory MOT certificate until March 2025 and a current V5C document, these P38 Range Rovers are growing in popularity, with this example having low ownership and sensible mileage!
