Lot 256

Benefitting from a documented sympathetic restoration and understood to be one of just 34 (M491) SuperSport Coupés supplied to the UK in right-hand drive (C16), this superb 911 is on offer directly from 22 years of caring ownership. Development of the Porsche 911 continued through the 1980s, with perhaps the most notable advance immediately prior to the manufacture of this 1986 model, being the introduction of the 3.2-litre engine for 1984. Although it remained an air-cooled flat-six, the '3.2' was 80% new and incorporated an effective cam-chain tensioner and associated lubrication system that at last addressed a perennial 911 shortcoming. With 230bhp available, the new 'boxer' power unit endowed the Carrera with excellent performance, the bald statistics being a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 152mph. Although it enjoyed a 52bhp advantage, the 911 Turbo was only marginally faster, having a top speed of 157mph, while most considered the normally-aspirated 911 Carrera much easier to drive without the Turbo’s notorious ‘little ways’. Consequently there were an increasing number of affluent potential 911 customers that coveted the Turbo's distinctive 'wide body' look but felt more at home with the more approachable 3.2 Carrera and, quick to respond to public demand, Porsche introduced the 'Option M491 Turbo-look' or ‘SuperSport’ as it later became known in the UK.Initially, Option M491 was only available on a Coupé through the 'Special Wishes' programme, but was later extended to include a Turbo-Look Targa and Cabriolet in 1985, then became an official model from 1986. From 1987 the designation was officially known as SSE (SuperSport Equipment). In addition to the wide bodywork, the package included a limited-slip differential, the stiffer suspension and four-piston brake callipers from the 930 Turbo, a wrap-around deep chin-spoiler, the famous 'tea-tray' rear spoiler, and 16" forged alloy wheels with low-profile tyres. However, it was not a cheap option, adding over £10,000 to the cost of a standard 3.2 Carrera by the end of the model's life in 1989.As an option rather than an outright model, the SuperSport is not just the rarest Porsche of its era but the most challenging to pin down officially, however we understand that this fabulous car is one of just 34 Coupés supplied to the UK, as designated by its option codes C16 and 491. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirms the car’s build date as 2nd November 1987 prior to being delivered by Lancaster Garages of Norwich later that month with the stickered option codes confirming it was finished in Schwartz with a full leather interior. The detailed history file retains old MOTs, period tax discs, historic maintenance receipts by main dealer and marque specialists, a photographic record of the extensive, yet sympathetic, restoration in 2012, book packs and the service book.Purchased by our vendor on 1st August 2002 it was restored and subsequently maintained regardless of infrequent use, with less than 2,000 miles added since purchase to the current odometer reading of 107,415 miles, at the time of cataloguing. This rare motorcar has been preserved for future generations with the distinction of a meticulously curated history file and an odometer reading that should be treated as an historical fact. Offered with an advisory-free MOT Certificate valid until January 2024 and its Swansea V5C.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 CARRERA 3.2 Year: 1987 Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ91ZJS101074 Registration Number: TBA Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 63J01356 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 107500 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Tan LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 281

Porsche 911 (997.1) 3.8-litre Carrera S with the desirable manual 6-speed gearbox, offered from 12 years of ownership and looking good in Black Metallic. The 997 marked another new chapter for Porsche, although to look at, the new generation seemed to hark back to former glories, particularly in profile and the design of its oval headlights. The 997 was initially available from July 2004 in two guises, Carrera and Carrera S, both rear-wheel drive only with identical bodywork. The base Carrera stuck with the well established 3.6-litre power unit producing 325bhp, however the Carrera S had useful extra power – some 355bhp – thanks to a larger displacement engine (3.8-litres). Other general 997 enhancements included better suspension, reduced drag-coefficient, a more appealing interior and extra room for passengers. Introduced in 2005, the Carrera 4S was broadly similar but was a tad wider (44mm) to accommodate the four-wheel drive system and wider wheels. The car presented here is a 2005 Porsche 911 (997.1) 3.8-litre Carrera S specified with the drivers' choice of the manual 6-speed (G97/01) gearbox (which was reinforced by Porsche for the 'S' model) and is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a black hood and interior. It's offered from long term ownership, some 12 years, with just one previous recorded keeper and  presents superbly, benefitting from a recent comprehensive check over and detail to ensure that it is offered looking at its very best.It was specified from new with numerous additions to standard such as electronic damper control and stability management, sports seats finished in hide, a multi-function steering wheel, top-tint screen and DVD navigation amongst others, all accompanied by a comprehensive service history.Offered at a very sensible and affordable guide giving the opportunity for Porsche ownership at an approachable level. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 CARRERA 4S CAB Year: 2005 Chassis Number: WPOZZZ99Z6S760999 Registration Number: OU55 PMO Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 68606184 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 54353 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black HideClick here for more details and images

Lot 225

An outstanding Porsche GT3 (Gen 2) with Clubsport enhancements offering the perfect combination for performance motoring. Intended primarily for competition although still fully road-legal, the Porsche 911 GT3 can trace its ancestry all the way back through a succession of high-performance models to the legendary 911 Carrera RS of 1973. The car takes its name from the FIA's GT3 category of production sports car racing and has been produced in a variety of versions since its introduction in 1999 when the GT3 badges were applied to the Type 996 iteration of the perennial 911. The 3.6-litre flat-six engine, though, departed from mainstream Type 996 practice by virtue of its water-cooled cylinders, leaving only the heads cooled by air. Called the 'Metzger' engine after its designer, Hans Metzger, this unit was closely related to that of the Porsche 962 'Sports Prototypes' and the 911 GT1 racer. In the GT3 it produced 355bhp, 59 more than in the standard 996, which was delivered to the wheels through a strengthened gearbox boasting interchangeable ratios. To make the GT3 fit for circuit use, the brakes, suspension and wheels were uprated to cope with the substantial increase in performance, whilst aerodynamic downforce was enhanced by a larger front air dam and a distinctive rear spoiler. Weight reduction extended to the removal of the rear seats and most of the sound deadening, rear speakers, sunroof, and air conditioning, though the latter could be ordered as an option, as could a CD/radio. In 2003, the 996 was facelifted (996.2) with Turbo-style headlamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers and some other external changes and, naturally, these revisions carried through to the GT3.Sourced through the Porsche Centre London, this particular UK-supplied (C16) 996.2 GT3, finished in Polar Silver with the must-have Aero Kit, is fitted with the 6-speed manual gearbox and was originally built to the 'Comfort' specification. It has now been enhanced by a number of ‘Clubsport’ upgrades providing an intriguing and rather desirable package for its next custodian. The black hide interior features leather sun visors, a suede headlining and lightweight Porsche sports seats with crests complimented by red Schroth racing harnesses, all surrounded by the Tequipment 996 roll cage fitted by JZM Porsche in 2015. They also upgraded the suspension in 2016, fitting a three-way KW Clubsport Suspension Kit providing a more dynamic ride and overall feel for the Porsche driver who wants to enjoy the GT3 experience to the max.In superb condition throughout, the car has formed part of a small eclectic Collection in recent years and has been maintained as required by its fastidious owner. It’s accompanied by a comprehensive stamped service history detailing previous works as completed by Porsche main dealers and specialists, various invoices and older MOT Certificates. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged to fully appreciate the impressive package on offer.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 996.2 GT3 Year: 2004 Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99Z4S691157 Registration Number: LJ04 EDX Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 63425004 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 58025 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black HideClick here for more details and images

Lot 258

Delightfully presented ex-California 911S Targa in Gemini Blue with Hollywood provenance. Production of the second-generation 911 started in August 1973 with the 1974 model/year G-series derivative replacing the outgoing 1973 F-series. Visually, the new 911 was given a major facelift and all three production variants now came with fuel-injected 2.7-litre engines. The entry level 911 had 150bhp, the mid-range 911S offered 175bhp and the flagship 911 Carrera came with 210bhp and once again, customers were given the choice of either Coupé or Targa body styles. In 1975, the H-series Carrera gained a deeper front spoiler and an (optional) IROC-style rear spoiler. The 911S was visually unchanged, however the base 911 disappeared. This left-hand drive 911S Targa was supplied by Sporting Cars of Santa Monica and registered new in February 1975 to famous Hollywood actor, Ron Harper, remaining with him until arriving in the UK in 2018. He was famous for his parts in various American films but mostly acclaimed for his role as astronaut, Alan Virdin, in TV’s Planet of the Apes. Throughout his sole ownership of 43 years, it had oil changes every 5,000 miles punctuated by his hand written notes in the service book and the mileage of only 70,674 miles is fully corroborated. When it arrived in the UK, it was subject to a full mechanical and service overhaul by Porsche Specialist Services of Havering and the extensive work included a full service, all suspension bushes, new dampers, new steering arms, gear linkage, brakes, a full ride-height set up, corner weights and a wheel alignment check. In line with European specification, the headlight units were changed. Remarkably well preserved by the Californian climate but faded in places, a full body restoration was undertaken by the renowned ‘Kraftwork Vehicle Refinishers’ of Chelmsford Essex in 2020. It was taken back to bare metal with no replacement panels required and painted in its original colour of Gemini Blue. The body has many of the factory stickers still in place. The comprehensive history file contains the original owners wallet with service book and photos of the restoration, a photo of Ron Harper with the 911S in c.2007 and invoices relating to the work done. It has its original jack, toolkit and original Blaupunkt radio with paperwork and US Title document in Ron Harper's name and will come with a full MOT showing the mileage now at c.71,327 miles.A most beautiful 911S Targa with celebrity provenance in, perhaps, the best colour combination of the 1970s.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 S Year: 1975 Chassis Number: 9115210887 Registration Number: LFM 603N Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 6550561 Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 71327 Miles Make: LHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 226

Fitted with the Tiptronic S gearbox, elegantly specified as one of the fastest, most luxuriously appointed cabriolets of its day and just 20,100 miles and two owners from new. Perhaps the only modern sports coupé that the vast majority of people could identify without its badge, the Porsche 911 is a uniquely aspirational model for those wanting a reliable daily sports car, a paradox of statement and subtlety. Perfected over generations, each variant of the 911 has met the expectations of the individual and whilst the daily commute in a Carrera was acceptable for some, the 911 Turbo was something special. Refined yet capable of supercar speeds, the evolution of the Turbo came into its own with the 996 generation of the late 1990s and early 2000s, however the circular headlamps were missed and in 2004 they returned with the 997 Carrera. It wasn't until 2006 that the Turbo version was finally revealed, first shown at that year's Geneva Show and initially offered as a coupé with an impressive specification. The Mezger 3.6-litre engine was carried over but now produced 480bhp at 6,000rpm and featured 'VarioCam Plus' and a pair of clever Borg-Warner variable geometry turbochargers, a totally new technology for Porsche. With a manual gearbox, the 997 Turbo requires just 3.9 seconds to reach 62mph and will go on to 193mph, whilst an impressive 3.7 seconds is achievable with deft use of the 5-speed Tiptronic S selector paddles.Power is transmitted to all four wheels with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) which utilises an electronically controlled, multi-plate clutch. This intelligent technology provides variable drive to each axle. The front/rear split is continuously adjusted based on current road conditions and driver inputs and, although biased towards the rear, the front receives more power whenever the situation requires. The May 2007 launch of the Turbo Cabriolet was universally acclaimed, yet it entered a competitive market that ironically it had helped to create, but brand loyalty, due to its reputation for reliability and blistering speed, set the car apart. For some, only a red Ferrari will do, much like a black 911 Turbo would be the obvious choice for many, and questionable colour choices have come in and out of fashion over the years. So we applaud the first owner’s specification of this Turbo Cabriolet in Macadamia Metallic with a Cocoa power-hood above the Sand Beige leather interior and the rare, for a 911, fitment of wooden accents. The Sycamore trim is beautifully finished, a classy addition that is neither ostentatiously Bentley or obviously Jaguar. The copy Bill of Sale to the first of its two owners on 18th September 2007 confirms that the car was to 'look the part' as can be seen in the options, such as the painted front spoiler lip, additional leather and Sycamore trim, crested headrests, stainless-steel door guards and much more, for a total cost of £126,116.The history file is confidence-inspiring and will be complemented by a Porsche main dealer service before the auction, together with a fresh MOT. Presented with some 20,200 miles from new (at the time of cataloguing), and clearly enjoyed for special outings, this motor car is one for the connoisseur.Specification Make: PORSCHE Model: 911 -997 Year: 2007 Chassis Number: WP0ZZZ99Z8S786438 Registration Number: GY57 AHV Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 62801676 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 20200 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Sand Beige LeatherClick here for more details and images

Registration - V3 KCLChassis No. - WP0ZZZ99Z3S607896M.O.T. - February 2024Odometer - 122,000The Porsche 911 Carrera needs no introduction, and this 996-generation 3.6 Carrera Tiptronic offers a particularly accessible entry point into the world of 911s. The vendor has owned this 2003 model for more than a year, after purchasing it from an elderly lady custodian in Oxford. They report it has a comprehensive service history including servicing and MOT details, plus engine and gearbox maintenance. Believed to be a matching-numbers car, this Porsche 911 has received a new exhaust and has also been cosmetically refreshed by a front bumper respray. With a credible 122,000 miles on the clock, both engine and automatic transmission are described by the current owner as being in ‘excellent' condition, while bodywork, paintwork and the full leather interior are deemed to be ‘average'.The Porsche 911 996 was a ground-breaking model for the German sports car firm – the first-ever water-cooled Porsche 911 since the series was introduced back in the 1960s. A brilliantly-conceived car, it was a truly modern 911 that still had the rear-engined character of the original, but with much-needed modern refinements and a big lift in everyday usability. This 2003 model is a later generation with the larger 3.6-litre engine, as opposed to the launch 3.4-litre, and it benefits from many of the ongoing reliability updates Porsche introduced through the years. Right now, the 996-era Porsche 911 is increasingly being seen as a future classic collectable, with values tipped to start increasing from here, just as they did for the early 964-generation model. Now is a great time to get onto the ladder before prices start going up again! In summary:· 2003 model that was previously owned by an elderly lady· Extensive file of receipts· Excellent engine and gearbox, and very well-priced

The Porsche 911/996 Carrera 4S is fast becoming one of the most desirable 996 models, given its wide turbo body looks and still remaining very affordable in the modern classic world. It offers a thrilling driving experience and is powered by 3.6 litre flat-six engine, producing a highly respectable 316bhp. This engine was paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic. The car was also fitted with an all-wheel drive system, giving it excellent traction and handling in any conditions. The 996 Carrera 4S has a top speed of 174mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest cars in its class. This very well cared for example is the right hand drive, manual derivative. Offered in good order throughout the Porsche is presented in Arctic Silver over a Metropol blue interior and looks superb! The paintwork is in very good order and the interior is in good condition commensurate of its age. Acquired by our vendor in 2020 this example has been used as intended and is showing 106,285 on the odometer. Maintained regardless of cost, the Carrera 4S was even treated to an engine rebuild by its previous vendor including a replacement IMS bearing, an issue commonly found with the 996 model. This work was undertaken in 2014 when the Porsche was showing a mileage of 69,389 and was undertaken by well-respected Porsche engine rebuild specialist, Hartech Ltd, the cost of which totalled £9,542.The 996 comes complete with an extensive service history and is currently looked after by Porsche specialists No.5 Garage, in Chiswick. Also included are two sets of keys, many original documents, old MoT records, the current UK registration and an MoT valid until 21st October 2024. A Carrera 4S with a manual gearbox is one of the best driving Porsches of the modern era, and this example is no exception. The sixth generation of the Porsche 911 was dubbed the 997 and introduced in 2005. It retained the previous model’s basic profile but drew on the 993 for detailing. In addition, the new headlights reverted to the original bug-eye design. The interior was similarly revised, with strong links to the earlier 911 interiors while at the same time looking fresh and modern. Initially, two versions of the 997 were introduced, the rear-wheel-drive Carrera and Carrera S. In late 2005 Porsche introduced the four-wheel drive versions of the 997, the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S which were announced as 2006 models. The 997 remains a worthy model of one of the most celebrated sports cars ever produced and also received mostly positive reviews from the worldwide motoring press, with Jeremy Clarkson, a known detractor of Porsche cars, noting that the 997 will "make love to your fingertips and stir your soul."The best ‘all-rounder’ in the 997 line up, this Carrera 4S comes with the desirable six-speed manual gearbox mated to the 3.8 litre flat six engine. A UK supplied C16 car, it is well optioned with heated leather two-way electric front seats, leather rear seats, PCM module, Euro navigation, BOSE sound system and 19” Sport Design wheels. Presented in probably the best colour combination of Midnight Blue with blue interior, the car has led a pampered life. Out of the six main service stamps, four are from Porsche main dealers and the other two are from renowned Porsche specialist JAZ Porsche Ltd. Whilst the last official service was carried out in June 2018 at JAZ, they also replaced the roof mechanism in March of this year. Since 2018 the car has been maintained by the Vendor’s in-house mechanic who maintains all his collection. The vendor has noticed that the air conditioning isn’t working, but other than that, he reports the car to run and drive very well indeed.Supplied with a V5C registration document, book pack and service record from JAZ Porsche Ltd. Great performance and stunning looks combined, make this model still the one to have. Consigned by Will Penrose. DESIRABLE SIX-SPEED MANUAL CARWELL OPTIONEDAIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING

The 964 was produced between 1989 and 1994 and is a standout car for its time which is possibly even more sought-after today. It has a sleek, modern look that is still recognisable and unique, which made it a very popular donor car for people choosing to build a backdated, or ‘resto-mod’ 911. The fact that so many 964s were used as the base for a ‘resto-mod’ build, means that very few un-modified examples remain, especially in rear wheel drive Carrera 2 guise. This Carrera 2 cabriolet has been with our vendor for 15 years and looks excellent in its lesser seen special order colour of Velvet Red Metallic. The car is fitted with the all important manual gearbox, making this a very desirable car. The option code sticker is still present under the bonnet, showing option ‘220 – locking differential’, ‘383 & 387 – Sport seats’, ‘494 – Two rear shelf speakers’, ‘567 top tint windscreen’, ‘690 CD Player’. The car was originally supplied to Jersey and was brought over to the British mainland in 1993, with the V5C showing 4 keepers in total. Our vendor has owned the car since 2009 and has been maintained particularly well since, almost exclusively with Parr Porsche specialists. The bills in the file total over £40,000, with the standout being a bill for over £9,000 for a top end engine overhaul in September 2020, just a couple of thousand miles ago. There really are too many invoices to detail, but the car has been seen by Parr mainly on an annual basis, bar a few exceptions, during our vendor’s ownership and it has always been kept in fine fettle. The cup alloy wheels are in good order and are shod in barely used Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.Cosmetically the car presents well, there are a few usual age related marks, but everything is commensurate with its nearly 35 years of use and only 63,000 miles. The drivers seat bolster has worn, quite common due to how pronounced they are, but it could be easily rectified by the new owner. Overall, the interior presents well and has room for some improvements to bring the car up to the best standards. This is an excellent example of a manual Carrera 2, which is the one to have and is presented to auction with a fantastic history file, MoT test certificate valid until 4th December 2024 and a V5C registration document. The Porsche 992 is the eighth and current generation of the Porsche 911 which was introduced at the Porsche Experience Centre, Los Angeles on 27th November 2018. The 992 has wide rear-wheel arches which was a part of every model in the 992 lineage (a design feature limited chiefly to high performance variants of previous 911 iterations) along with 20-inch wheels on the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. Compared to its predecessor, the 992 is 45 mm wider and uses aluminium body panels. The 992 also has a new rear bumper with larger exhaust tips than its predecessor. The front of the car is designed to mimic the appearance of an early 911 in a modern fashion. The interior also has received significant changes including a straighter dashboard which harks back to the shape of the dashboard used on the classic 911. The instrument cluster consists of two seven-inch digital displays and an analogue tachometer also a reference to the classic 911 models. The engines have Piezo injection and a revised intake system, a wet mode feature is also introduced on the 992 which uses acoustic sensors on the wheel wells to detect wet pavement and adjusts the stability control, the rear wing position and gearbox responsiveness to keep the car stable. A Sport Chrono package is also available on all models and features an over boost function that provides increased performance for 20 seconds with the 0-62 mph acceleration times decreased by 0.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono package. This stunning 2020 (2021 model year) 992 is presented in GT Silver with black leather heated trim. First registered on 10th November 2020, this example is well specified with electric heated seats, heated steering wheel, Sports Chrono pack, Sports exhaust with the ‘loud’ button and LED Matrix headlights. Boasting just 20,000 miles from new, in 2022 YP70 XAG was subject to an insurance loss and categorised Category S (structural damage that will need professional repair before they are safe to drive). However, on reviewing the photo of the damage this appears to have been overzealous with the damage relating to the front drivers side bumper with the airbags not having been triggered. Earlier this year the current owner and vendor commissioned Autolign Inspections, the only company in the UK who are recognised by HPI as the vehicle inspection company for the change of status of Category C, D, S & N vehicles. After a full inspection they changed the status to Condition Inspected which ensures that all repairs have been completed to a high standard and the car removed from the Category S status. This example of the latest incarnation of the 911 is offered with a very attractive estimate and thus provides the opportunity to own and drive one of the best engineered modern day sports cars, equally adept at daily driving as it would be storming around the Nürburgring all while looking every part the £135,000 plus a new example costs. The first Porsche 911 was introduced in 1963 as the replacement for the much-loved Porsche 356. It has a distinctive design; rear-engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. The engine was also air-cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998. Since its introduction in 1963, it has undergone continual development, although the basic concept has remained little changed. In 1973, the Carrera name was re-introduced from the 356 Carrera which had itself been named after Porsche's class victories in the Carrera Panamericana races in Mexico in the 1950’s. The most notable advances in 1984 were the introduction of the 3.2-litre engine. Although it remained an air-cooled 'flat-six', the '3.2' was 80% new and incorporated an effective cam chain tensioner and associated lubrication system that at last addressed a perennial 911 shortcoming. With 231bhp on tap, the new 'boxer' motor endowed the Carrera with a level of performance approaching that of the original 911 Turbo of 1974, the bald statistics being a 0-60mph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 152mph.This example was registered in the UK in 1987 although it was manufactured in 1984 as confirmed by the Certificate of Authenticity. A full body restoration has been carried out, with photographic evidence. We are advised this 911 drives well with no known faults, the 3.2 litre engine reported to running well. The blue coachwork is in good order with some minor age-related marks. Supplied with a history folder and V5 registration document together with a current MoT test certificate valid until 17th April 2025. Air-cooled 911’s continue to be increasingly popular. Consigned by Stewart Banks. THE BODY HAS BEEN FULLY RESTORED AND PRESENTS WELLFIVE-SPEED GEARBOXRUNS AND DRIVES WELLMoT'd UNTIL 17TH APRIL 2025

Volkswagen's decision not to proceed with their designed-by-Porsche 914 replacement led to the latter taking on the project themselves. Launched in November 1975, the resulting 924 drew heavily on Volkswagen/Audi components: the 2-litre, four-cylinder, overhead-camshaft engine being a development of the Audi 100's, and the four-speed transaxle a VW unit. A five-speed Porsche-designed gearbox and improvements to the suspension were early developments, and in 1978 came the first truly high-performance 924 - the Turbo. The latter's extra 45bhp raised top speed to around 150mph, and this figure would be further improved upon by the 924 Carrera GT. A road model with competition potential, the luxuriously equipped Carrera GT was launched at the 1979 Frankfurt Show. Easily distinguishable from lesser 924s by virtue of its bonnet air intake and widened wheelarches, the Carrera GT was built in limited numbers - only 406 were made - 400 cars being the minimum requirement to gain homologation for rallying and Group 4 events. The standard version came with 210bhp but this could be boosted to well over 300bhp for racing. Three cars were entered by the works in the 1980 Le Mans 24-Hour Race, finishing 6th, 12th and 13th.This excellent Porsche 924 S2 Turbo was delivered to it’s first owner in February 1982. This rare right hand drive is from the final batch of 943 cars produced for the 1982 model year. Having led a relatively sheltered life, and being completely rust free it was chosen by a Porsche fanatic and collector to create a near perfect copy of the Carrera GT. The look is courtesy of Pro-9 light weight front wings, front apron, and rear wheel arches. The front wings have the correct 928 repeaters installed, the rear wheel arches are correctly tubbed and sculptured to fit and a functional Carrera GT air scoop was let into the bonnet. The Spax suspension is adjustable, properly set up and corner weighted. The 7” front and 8” rear x 15” Fuchs style wheels are by Design 911 and shod with Toyo Protex tyres. Inside the car it has the correct Carrera GT Recaro seats and the interior has all been re-trimmed in the correct, unique Carrera GT upholstery. A retro-style Blaupunkt radio with Bluetooth is fitted. Under the bonnet lies the very rare and bespoke Langerer & Reich intercooler, fed by the GT bonnet scoop. Subtly, the digital ignition, and timing control has been replaced with ECU Master engine management system by Northampton Motorsport. This includes 21st century sensors, ignition system and boost control which brings better reliability, better economy and easy driveability. After been on their rolling road, Northampton Motorsport have created a car with a second map that outperforms the original Carrera GT, a flick of a hidden switch takes you from 180bhp/200Ib-ft to 211bhp/242Ib-ft torque. Finished in Guards Red this lovely 924 Turbo is registered as a Historic Vehicle and comes with an extensive documented history.Consigned by John Tomlin NEAR PERFECT COPY OF THE CARRERA GT FITTED WITH THE RARE LANGERER & REICH INTERCOOLERMODERN RACING CAR IGNITIONJ AND MAPPING SYSTEM WITH TWO SETTINGSBETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL AT HALF THE PRICE
