Manuscripr Subscription Book.: Proposals for publishing by subscription a tribute to the memory of The Princess Charlotte dedicated by permission to His Majesty King George IVth. Comprises 44 leaves plus blanks bound in black straight-grained morocco gilt, with the signatures and - in all cases other than royalty and aristocracy - addresses of subscribers along with the number of copies ordered. Some entries are in a secretarial hand but among those signing directly are Princess Augusta, Prince Leopold (later King of Belgium), Samuel Rogers, Sir Stafford Raffles and John Flaxman. [William St Clair estate]
