An Irish Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss By Clarke, Dublin, Late 18th Century With two-stage barrel turned and belled at the muzzle and stamped with Irish registration mark 'N-T 2813' for Co. Tipperary, North Riding, octagonal breech signed in capitals along the top flat, steel tang, flat bevelled lock (tang and lock with some old pitting) signed in capitals, figured full stock (some old bruising and repairs), full brass mounts of regulation type, and later brass-tipped ramrod 37 cm. barrel Footnotes: The maker is probably Nicholas Clarke recorded in Dublin between 1779 and 1811, the year of his death For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
