A Brass-Mounted Flintlock Pistol Of Musket Bore Signed S. Brunn, London, Early 19th Century With rebrowned two-stage barrel, octagonal breech engraved 'LONDON' on the top flat, border engraved tang decorated with a line of foliage and a starburst, border engraved flat bevelled lock signed in capitals and decorated with a starburst on the stepped tail (safety-catch replaced), roller, figured full stock with chequered rounded butt, mounts comprising shaped side-plate engraved with a martial trophy, trigger-guard with acorn finial and decorated with Britannia shield between foliage and drapery on the border engraved bow, turned ramrod-pipes, shield-shaped vacant silver escutcheon, and steel ramrod, possibly original, Tower private proof marks 20.7 cm. barrel Footnotes: Samuel Brunn took over John Knubley's business at 7 Charing Cross on his death in 1795 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
